We arrived at the dune area on the Navajo reservation. After speaking to Ed Goldtooth, the rancher, we proceeded toward the Ward Terrace. But first, we encountered this pack of 3 llamas!

The sandstone is well-cemented, but is weathering into sand that forms the dunes.
