We left Moscow Sunday. We stayed overnight in Provo, UT. Monday we could have made it to the ranch, late, but we decided to take it easy and stop in Farmington, NM, where we are right now. This morning we're going to go look at some old ruins around here and then finish our trip. We should be able to get to the ranch significantly before dark this way.

It seems the electric setup there is ready to go. The electrician we hired has done a great and prompt job. Also, the dude from the electric company is going to be able to connect our service to the main grid on Thursday, so we are looking forward to that. That's another reason we decided no rush. May as well sight-see now and have fewer days there where we have to run power off of the generator.

A wall at Hungo Pavi. Unlike some of the other ruins, no attempt has been made to "restore" anything here. This is just what's left.

There were lots of rooms, and they all had tiny doorways like this one.

So presumably, the square rooms were for more prosaic purposes.

One interesting tidbit is that we could see different building styles in various parts of the Pueblo, as some parts of the Pueblo were built later than others.

Jason is starting up the trail behind Kin Kletso. What trail, you ask? Yes, we sort of wondered that as well. Jason decided not to take the dogs.

Here he's about halfway up the canyon wall. Yes, the "trail" goes up through that crevice.

A look to the left. You can see the dirt trail we walked to get to Kin Kletso. In the large image, you can see the XTerra parked in the lot where the road transitions from dirt to pavement.

The back of the car was just a bit crowded. Usually the dogs don't pile together to sleep.
